A native Peruvian raised in Raleigh, NC Dr. Cynthia Diehl attended college at NC State University and medical school at UNC – Chapel Hill. She completed a general surgery residency at one of the leading surgical centers in the country, UNC Hospital, and obtained her board certification through the American Board of Surgery. Because Dr. Diehl was drawn to the transformative powers of cosmetic surgery, she specialized in plastic and reconstructive surgery at UNC – Chapel Hill. At completion of this specialty training she set up her practice, Diehl Plastic Surgery in Raleigh, North Carolina and obtained certification with the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. She is married to Dr. Lee Diehl, an orthopedic surgeon, and they have two children and live in Raleigh.
